Swatches: Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks (Brown Nudes)

L-R: Nude Embrace, Nude Nuance, Burgundy Blush, Daringly Nude, Clay Crush

The long wait is over, ladies! The brown nudes from the Creamy Matte line of Maybelline have finally arrived here in the Philippines. Yipee! They were initially released last July 29 at BeautyMNL where I got them for only P199.00 each (P299.00 originally). I was super excited to get my hands on them, so I needed to wait until 12 midnight to make sure I will get all of the shades. It was a wise decision though, because the morning after I checked out my order, everything has been already sold out!

You can check out my review and swatches on the first 10 shades that were released here in the Philippines months ago.

Anyway, the formula, pigmentation, scent, and staying power of these are just the same with those  that were released first, the only difference is that the lighter shades (Nude Embrace and Daringly Nude) are a little patchy, but can still be build up. Other than those mentioned, everything is just the same especially my love for them. πŸ’•

NUDE EMBRACE

Caramel beige

The first time I saw it in the tube I was like “Oh my, this will surely wash me out,” but it turned out that it is just the right nude for my fair skin tone. This will be a perfect pair for a smoky eye-look.  It will probably suit light to fair skin-toned ladies. It is a little patchy and I have to swipe it 3-4 times to get the opaqueness that I want. It is very similar with the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in London, and reminds me so much of the Kylie Lip Kit in Exposed.

DARINGLY NUDE

Mid-toned taupe

I find that this one is a little similar with Nude Embrace when worn, except that this has more pink tones to it. A shade that can be worn everyday, especially during office and school days. It has the same formula with Nude Embrace – a little patchy, but buildable. It will probably suit light to medium skin tones. This reminds me so much of the lipstick shade that brides wear during their wedding day. πŸ˜‚

CLAY CRUSH

Dusty peachy brown

This is such a lovely color. I bet this will be one of the best sellers from the line. It is a muted peachy terracotta which is a very popular shade these days. I love how it accentuates my warm skin tone and gives me a fresher look. This is a perfect nude for fair to medium skin tones. I find it a little similar with the L.A. Girl Matte Pigment Gloss in Fleur, and our very own Detail Makeover Matte in Detail in Joyce.

NUDE NUANCE

Muted medium dark brown

14700502309201470136037919-1Everyone was already going gaga for this shade even before its release here in the Philippines. It’s the perfect nude for a Filipina (morena) skin tone. I just love it so much because it gives me a very sophisticated vibe. It is a browner  version of  Touch of Spice, and also has a resemblance with Kylie Lip Kit in Dolce K, and a said dupe of MAC Whirl.

BURGUNDY BLUSH

Reddish burgundy with a hint of brown

Yay! Another vampy shade from the line. This one is a darker and more brown version of Divine Wine. A color that can be worn even without putting any makeup on because it can instantly brighten up one’s face. This is a statement color too, good for the days you want to go for a rebellious look – paired with a winged eyeliner and perfectly bronzed face. πŸ˜‰
